Color can make a difference in a person’s life. What do the colors mean to you? Which color would you say most reflects how you feel right now? What does that color mean to you?

My favorite color is PInk!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 But I also like blue 🙂 I mostly like the softer shades of all colors 🙂
Pink and baby blue are the colors of childhood for me, they are soft and sweet and makes me feel joyful and happy and safe 🙂 🙂 What a fun post! 🙂 ❤
Hehehe. I can see that Trini. That your favorite color is pink. It’s so befitting of you – feminine, flowery, innocent, true. Not to mention – childlike, soft and sweet. 🙂
Thanks you so much Trini.
❤
I meant pink, oh, how many smilies I put there!!!! I dont even know the spelling of smilies!! 🙂 oh no, another one!
Hahahahaha. You’re funny. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
I’m all for smiles.
🙂 (see?)
Oh, good!! Then I will give you another one 🙂 and a heart too! ❤
hehehe
🙂 ❤
Back at you.
I’m feeling Tie-dye today, Staci. 🙂 I’m dealing with a head cold right now, so I’m very diffused.
Ohhhh no. Really? Not fun. Tie-die makes me think that your colors are changing in a swirl throughout the day. One moment a swirly fred, the next a swirly blue.
Or maybe it could mean after taking some medication and your head gets all fuzzy? I remember I took meds once for an allergy. All I can say is that I got on the bus and I felt like waves were coming over me. Definitely left me feeling very sleepy.
Hope you get better soon.
🙂
Thanks, Staci. I have a cold, then there’s the change in season. Nyquil threw me for a loop today and I’m just getting out of that cloud. Still, I don’t have a solid color right now. It’s like I’m waiting for a change, for something to happen. I can’t put my finger on it, things just feel unsettled.
Ohhhhhh, that’s doesn’t sound fun. Maybe you’re like that strange color that happens when you mix a whole ton of them together. I’m speaking from experience. My daughter loves playdough and happens to combine the colors together.
🙂
lol PERFECT! I am feeling like that color! I know from my kids doing the same. They did it with finger paints, too. 🙂
Hahaha. Kids have that sense of adventure.
🙂
Wow! Staci Li, colorful, wonderful “rainbow” poem… my favorite color is blue, and the “blue poem” is absolutely beautiful… but I also love green… the green stanza is also very beautiful. In fact, all colors are nice – and the “black” poem is very profound:
“the depths of my soul, until illuminated by light”… in a way, black is “absent” light waiting for more light…
As you know, I love visual poetry – coincidence: I posted this morning a poem I wanted to look like a herb garden under the moon, with many shades of green, and you post a poem about colors…
Ah, and white “purity and perfection… bravo Staci Lys! You said it all about colors! Have a nice week & much love to you :-)♥
Oh, thank you so much Frederic for such a rich comment. I love how you stated that black is the ‘absence’ of light. It really is. It’s also the absence of color. There’s this musician from the early 80, Keith Green. He wrote a song once called, “Stained glass”. Perhaps you’d like to hear it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPhv6Ot4pJE
Oh yes, I do know you love visual poetry. I’m on my way over to your blog now to check it out, my friend.
‘Ah’ yes, the white. Thanks to Him, his red covers my black so that white can shine and all the other colors can be vivid and alive.
You have a great week and much love to you too.
🙂 ❤
Thanks for the link, it’s a beautiful song! Talking of stained glass… there’s something I especially LOVE about them, you know, when the sunlight goes through them it makes incredibles “reflections” on the church’s interior walls – colorful, meaningful (in my opinion) reflections, pure signs of colored light, God’s alphabet to say : “see the light the world is made of, see My light and My infinite colors…” love to you ♥
Ohhh, beautiful Frederic. Also, I thought you were a person that would appreciate stained glass, especially the stained glass art of historic churches. So glad you liked the song.
Love to you.
🙂 ❤
I love this beautiful expression of colors…both visual and with words that go deep in the heart!! Thank you for this lovely walk today….I really enjoyed your translations!! ❤ ❤
Ohhh Lorrie, I love how you made this a ‘walk’. Thank you for your beautiful words. I hope you’re having a wonderful day.
🙂 ❤
Staci, this is wonderfully creative both in verse and visual arrangement. I love it, thank you!
Warm wishes,
Pepper
Thank you so much Pepper. I’m so glad you liked it.
Hope you’re having a great day.
🙂
Very impressive work. I love the cross-over into visual art with this poem. Have a wonderful start to your week!
Hi Benjamin. Thank you so much. I figured it was fitting to do each color in their color.
You have a great start to your week too.
🙂
Beautiful poem! Let us reside in every color God has made. 🙂
Thank you so much. And yes, each of them has their purpose and season.
🙂
🙂
Such a beautiful poem, Staci! I love the visual layout of it! Today I feel like the colour dark green, like the amazon forest…think it is because I love watching the trees, especially on a day like today when my voice is gone ( I have a cold :/) and all I need are my eyes to talk to the trees ❤
Thank you so much Neha. I love that, “all I need are my eyes to talk to the trees”.
Oh no, the dreaded cold. So sorry to hear that. I hope you get better soon.
🙂 ❤
Thanks Staci, I hope so too ❤ ❤
Brilliant spectrum of poetic hues! In love with all the colors…………..but for now, I desire to pick up white. Stay colorful! 🙂
Hehehe. Yes, I desire always to pick up white. I also love all the colors, and what each one speaks. Thank you so much for your kind words Reva.
🙂
Pleasure is mine, Staci. Stay wonderful! 🙂
What a colourful verse, Staci! Thanks for sharing it and for the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies you sent, scrumptious ah yes! ❤
My favourite colour is black but somedays it's blue and others it can even shift to white. So, white sums all the choices, maybe, as white is the presence of every possible colour our eyes can perceive. I love the Black poetry the most – I can't help but be biased towards it, I like to think Black to be the colour of freedom, where nothing matters, because nothing can be seen – shape, size, colour, face, species, race whatever it may be, everything is as lost in Black as much as it is found.
Whee! I love love love reading your poems! It makes me think (*for a change* as I've mentioned once before)
Love and rainbow capes for you, my friend!
May you be any colour you wish to be. ❤
Oh, I’m so glad you liked the cookies, my friend. Hehehe.
Thank you for such a wonderful comment.
“I like to think Black to be the colour of freedom, where nothing matters, because nothing can be seen – shape, size, colour, face, species, race whatever it may be, everything is as lost in Black as much as it is found.”
–Interesting perspective. I never thought of it that way. I think of white to be the tone of freedom. Kind of like a blank canvass to go wild on. I also believe that true freedom is found in releasing control, so then I guess white would make everything visible, nothing hidden, nothing to fear then.
I love that you shared what you did. It really goes to show that we are all individual and unique. Absolutely beautiful. Imagine if we were all the same. How boring would that be eh.
🙂 ❤
Oh that’s one lovely perspective about the colour White – “that true freedom is found in releasing control” True.
Haha yes, being individualistic is what makes meeting new people a wonderful experience. There is always so much to learn from other. 🙂
And yes, send me more cookies! Yum! ❤
Sending them now. Don’t eat them all at once though. You’ll get a belly ache. hehehe
🙂
Good topic! With my artistic background I have to say I love all colours and especially colour combinations (like people they bring out the best in each other). If i had to chose it would be blue the colour of sky and water my most favorite “chill” things.
Ohhhhhh, you have an artistic background. I really wish I did. I don’t have any talent in that department (drawing and painting, that is).
Blue is definitely a lovely choice. I’ll take the stillness and peace of it any day.
🙂
Very nice! I am loving the purple, Staci. What a beautiful way to express emotions. Well done…!
Hehehe, oh yes, the purple. So glad you’re loving that color. Thank you so much for such kind words Audrey.
🙂
I enjoyed them all…
Awww, thanks.
🙂
Each angelic colour..bringing us its own seasons of blessings..time of beauty…moments of reflections..souls of unique love 🙂
Absolutely beautifully penned! 🙂
Thank you so much Zara.
🙂
Oh, I love this Staci! And you are right. It seems you and I and Frederic all had color on the mind today, but then I must have color in my world so I often write about it. I tried to figure out which one in your post was my favorite but gave up because I loved them all. Great post, MS. Hugs, MN 🙂
❤
Oh yes, I must have color in my world too. I’m so glad that you loved all of them. I also have a difficult time picking just one. I need them all.
Thanks so much MN.
Hugs and blessings
🙂 ❤
Beautiful poem, Staci. I love it. I think I’m a bit orange today.
Ohhh, thanks so much David. I was feeling a little down and uninspired, and then I went out for my run and reflection walk on Thursday evening and this thought came to mind.
Orange eh? That’s a great one. May you receive all of the spiritual discernment and strength that you need for today, and always.
🙂
So creative! Of course my favorite color is purple. He is my King, and I am His queen. Have a wonderful day Stacilys!
Hahahaha. Oh yes, we are royalty. We belong to the King of Kings.
Thanks Rita
🙂
Mine is pink! I really liked this post!
Kiss
Oh, thank you so much. Yes, pink is nice, isn’t it. I used to be a real tom boy. Now I love what pink represents.
🙂
Feel blue but wearing white and green. Sheesh. Good thing it is the weekend.
Hehehe. Yes, white and green. Wonderful Terry. Great colors to be wearing, my friend. The weekends are nice, aren’t they. Hope you have a great, and relaxing one.
🙂
Love this!! My favorite color is green because it represents life or new life – like in the Spring.
Thank you so much. Green is great, just as Spring.
Thanks for sharing.
🙂
I love this post, Staci ❤
It's been a rough few weeks for me, work-wise, and so I would say that orange seems to be the colour that has best defined me recently. It's been tough at times, but I think I am starting to come out the other end of it.
Hopefully, before long, I will be more like yellow! 🙂
Thank you so much Heather. I’m so glad you liked it.
Ohhhh, rough few weeks eh? Hang in there Heather. I’m rootin for ya. Hopefully we’ll see the bright cheery yellow side soon. With big smiles and lightness.
🙂
Thanks Staci ❤
The last few weeks have definitely tested my mettle, but I am hoping that things have turned a corner now. I'm keeping the faith, even in the face of adversity ❤
That a girl. Stay tough.
🙂 ❤
